How do you tell if a cup/mug is ovenproof?
I’m trying a new way to make cupcakes that I saw on Food Network last night, and you have the option to use ovenproof mugs, but I don’t know how to tell if the mugs I own are ovenproof, how can I tell?

If so, then they are fantastic! You’ll love them.
Mugs are pretty simple. Of course, you’d avoid plastic mugs.
Most earthenware mugs are oven safe. Ceramic and porcelein will usually work.
Look on the bottom. Some have it printed, either the material they’re made of, or some will actually say “oven safe” on the bottom.
You should be fine with most mugs, since they’re baked and glazed a lot hotter than what you’ll be cooking at.
