Job Hunting/ Calling Back?
So today (aug. 12th) I went ‘job hunting’ and applied at 10 places. I stayed there and filled out my applications and was dressed appropriate and smiled and left good impression or at least I think I did. I have all the numbers for each place.
My questions are that
1.) When should I call? (Friday 14th or Monday 17th) I applied Wed. 12th
2.) If I do call back what should I say? (Hello, my name is Shelby **** and Im calling back on a job application I turned in earlier this week. I was wondering if anyone has gone thru them yet?)
Theses jobs were at: Berry Bagels, Starbucks, Chiplotes, Subway, KFC, Wendy’s, Jo Ann Fabrics, and Dots.
Im just trying to make the best impression I can because I need a job more than you know. I live in a car town like Detroit and our economy here is in the toilet. Jobs are rare so the better I do the better the chance. *fingers crossed*
yea i would just wait until monday to call them back! when you call just ask to speak to a manager and once the manager gets on the phone say: Hi this is (your name) i am calling about an application i put in a few days ago and i was just wondering if you had a chance to look over that? If she/he says they dont have any positions avalible at this time dont worry just keep going back every two weeks and ask if they are hiring.
you could also get the word out to your friends and family that you are looking for a job, maybe one of your friends works somewhere, where they are hiring and could put in a good word for you. thats how i got the job i have now ![]()
remember: the harder you try the luckier you get
