Is Starbucks a good job for guys?
I just started working at starbucks two weeks ago… so far it’s been nothing but stressful. People have these huge lists of drink customizations and they say them so fast and then immediately jump to their next drink and I always screw up. It seems like this would be more of a girls job. I’m thinking of quitting and going back to my old job at a restaurant and take less hours and less pay but at least I’ll be comfortable with it. What do you think?
PS. I’m not trying to be sexist. I’m sure a lot of guys are just as good as women but I’m just your typical B- student guy. I think girls are much better coordinated and think faster then guys like me.
You’re still learning the ropes so it’s always kinda stressful for the first couple of weeks, but you’ll get used to it. I’ve actually seen more guys working at all the Starbucks that I’ve been to than i’ve seen girls. It sounds like an awesome job, i was considering it too. Give it a chance. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be great. I’m sure lots of cute girls come in too hehe. Just enjoy it there and relax hun. Dont forget to breathe!
