You wake up early, it is a lovely morning outside and you want to go out and enjoy nature in the sunshine. You throw on your shorts and sandals, brew your coffee open the door and inhale the fresh air. You grab your mug and head outside to sit down and you spot your favorite wooden chair that you spent so much money on, paint peeling, wood rotting, and suddenly sitting outside does not seem so pleasant.

One choice is a weather-resistant PVC resin that holds up against rain, sun and dirt and plenty of use. When it seems to have gotten a little dirty, just hose it down to make it look clean and new again!
Another consideration is recycled plastic. It is amazing what they can do with this these days and how good they can make it look. Many wild life and nature preserves are going with this option to replace the wood walk ways because of the benefit of it looking like natural wood and the fact that plastic will never rot. They also can take comfort in the fact that they are keeping all of that plastic out of the landfills and putting it to good use. Another option for outdoor furniture is wicker or rattan. These woven wood and thick plant fibers are formed into furniture pieces. They can offer a beautifully natural look to your backyard patio and still be strong and supportive. If you really want to make the most out of your outdoor furniture, you may want to opt for outdoor indoor furniture. Many of the same items that will look beautiful outside are also furniture pieces that can be put inside. A sofa made of wicker with large cushions looks just as at home in your living room as on your patio deck. The great part of that is the next time you have a back yard party there is no reason to have to pull out those annoying plastic chairs. Instead, bring out the indoor / outdoor furniture and have plenty of seating for everyone.
